Knockout of the Month
Tara
While we have really yet to witness the full implications of her heel turn, the fact that she did turn heel combined with some decent matches makes Tara my Knockout of the Month. While the bitter teacher vs. upstart pupil storyline is nothing new in wrestling, it’s usually always a simple yet effective one and applied to the Tara/Tess feud, should be decent enough to carry us up to Bound For Glory. In the long run this is a storyline to enhance Miss Tessmacher and her title reign so really after BFG, who knows what will happen with Tara but until then, she should get plenty of air time. To me, for the month of September, that was no bad thing. Strong wrestling skills + heel turn = Tara, Knockout of the Month.
Knockout Match of the Month
Miss Tessmacher vs. Tara – Knockouts Title Match (No Surrender)
This was Knockout Match of the Month because a) it was the catalyst for Tara turning heel which could end up giving her a bit of a career refresh and b) it was leaps and bounds better than the match the two had the month before on Impact. Where the first match had quite a few blown spots and never really seemed to get going, I thought that both women busted their butts to make this PPV match much better. I've read other sites like PWTorch rip this match but what else is new? For me, this match gets the September thumbs up.

Beth Phoenix reportedly leaving WWE
While she is not a Knockout (yet) and the implications of this move have yet to impact (pardon the pun) TNA Wrestling, one has to believe that when Beth Phoenix becomes available TNA will probably make a move to sign her, and I really hope it happens. Beth Phoenix was often the only shining star in the darkness of the WWE Divas division. Even though the TNA Knockouts division has fallen a few steps in the past few years, it is still light years ahead of the WWE Divas division and now there is a chance that the best in-ring Diva can come and test herself in the best women’s division in mainstream wrestling. The fact that the name "Beth Phoenix" is not an intellectual property of WWE is also a plus, seeing as how TNA could then use that name if she came on board. I am looking forward to hopefully seeing the Phoenix rise in TNA at some point in the future.
