The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE is steering clear of signing any TNA Talent while the lawsuit between WWE and TNA is ongoing. The lawsuit is based off of a former TNA Employee who became a WWE Employee that shared contract information with the company. That employee was fired and the classified documents returned to TNA. TNA is accusing WWE of using contract information to poach talent.
Matt Morgan, who was one of the top free agents who could have gone to WWE, returned at a TNA House Show last night. Meltzer indicated on his message board that the lawsuit played a part in that.
Meltzer notes that WWE isn't talking with names who have recently left TNA including Alex Shelley, Ric Flair, Angelina Love, Velvet Sky etc while the lawsuit is ongoing.
On a side note; following the lawsuit coming into play, TNA began re-negotiating many of their talent's contracts. Some have speculated that this is because of the information that WWE knows while others believe it is TNA trying to cut costs.
