The current rumor right now is that Jeff Hardy is in the Bound For Glory Main Event to get him to re-sign with the company. There has been some speculation that Jeff Hardy wants one more run with the WWE and that its a given that he will be leaving when his contract runs out early next year.
I have asked around and have been told that this rumor isn't entirely accurate. Jeff Hardy feels like he is currently at the top of his game. He knows he has Dixie Carter to partially thank for that. From what I have been told, Hardy is currently happy with what he is doing in TNA, specifically the schedule and the freedom he gets to express himself. Hardy has been described as a "free spirit" who cares more about expressing his creativity as opposed to money.
One factor that definitely needs to be accounted for is that of Rob Van Dam. It is believed that RVD's contract ends around the same time as Hardy's. RVD and Hardy are the best of friends and the belief is that depending on how negotiations with one of the stars turns out, it will effect the other star. So if Hardy gets re-signed, then it is likely that RVD will be re-signed or vice-versa.
It is true that TNA wishes to re-sign Hardy as he is one of their top merchandise sellers. The company believes they can re-sign him if they play their cards right.
Talon's Take: What I believe this whole thing will come down to is what WWE and TNA will offer Hardy. The bottom line is whatever company offers Hardy the easiest schedule for the most amount of money will have the advantage.
