TNA In "Rebuilding Stage"

TNA creative is said to be in a "rebuilding process." Apparently officials believe that throughout the years, alot of damage was done to the TNA Product, the storylines/titles/characters,PPVs, the brand and most importantly the fan's confidence.

Whereas before, TNA was writing for ratings. Today it is believed that TNA is writing for their fans. While the audience might be smaller, if the fans have confidence in the product, they will spend money on it, talk about it and invest in it. This in turn will likely help grow viewership over time.

The Verdict: The bad news is that ratings have dropped from over 1.5 million since February to about 1.2 or 1.3 million these days. While you can blame the timeslot change and the Viacom/DirecTV issues, you might also have to blame the change in creative direction.

The good news is that confidence among wrestling fans for the product is the highest it has been in years. I have heard Wrestling News Sites call TNA the "best product today." I have heard people who haven't watched the show in years say they are giving it another chance.

One thing is for certain, one of the aspects that is keeping the product so exciting is the Live factor. TNA has about 4 or 5 weeks until their tentative Live schedule ends. The enthusiasm for the product will definitely drop if they go back to taping the show. I hope that they decide to #KeepIMPACTLive permanently.
