Bound For Glory Results
Mexican America defeated Ink Inc in the Preshow to retain their World Tag Team Titles. There was interference from Rosita, Sarita and Ink Inc's valet, Toxine.
Austin Aries defeated Brian Kendrick with the Brainbuster to retain the X Division Championship. The Philly crowd was loudly behind Aries in this one.
Rob Van Dam defeated Jerry Lynn in a very good Full Metal Mayhem Match after a Van Terminator into a Ladder.
Crimson defeated Samoa Joe and Matt Morgan in a Triple Threat. Matt Morgan missed a Carbon Footprint which opened an opportunity for Crimson to hit the Spear for the win.
Mr. Anderson defeated Bully Ray in a Falls Count Anywhere Match. Anderson went to Senton Ray through a table but the table didn't break. Anderson then hit the Mic Check through the table for the win.
In a backstage segment, Eric Bischoff and Jackson James spoke revealing they were father and son. They were preparing for the fight tonight between Sting and Hogan.
Velvet Sky defeated Mickie James, Winter and Madison Rayne to win the Knockout's Title. Karen Jarrett was the Special Guest referee and was blatantly favoring Madison and Winter until Winter accidentally spit the blood into Karen's face. Traci Brooks came down to ringside and counted Velvet's pin on Madison to win the title.
AJ Styles defeated Daniels in an I Quit Match. Daniels taunted AJ's wife during the middle of the match. AJ was going to use a screwdriver that Daniels introduced earlier in the match but Daniels quit before he could. After the match, Daniels attacked AJ on the stage hitting him with the Angel's Wings.
Jeff Jarrett came to the ring. He called out Jeff Hardy saying that nobody wanted him in TNA and that since he brought him in, he could take him out. Hardy came out and almost immediately the two brawled. Security and front office staff separated the two. The fans were so into this segment that they chanted "D'Lo."
Sting defeated Hulk Hogan to regain control of TNA for Dixie Carter. Immediately after the opening bell, Ric Flair came out and joined Hogan in battling Sting. Sting eventually won with the Scorpion on a bloody Hulk Hogan. After the match, Immortal came out and attacked Sting. Bischoff was going to hit Sting with a chair but his son, Jackson James stopped him only to be taken out. Eventually Hulk Hogan helped out Sting to a massive pop laying out the different members of Immortal. Hogan and Sting shook hands to end the segment.
Kurt Angle defeated Bobby Roode to retain the World Heavyweight Title. It was a great back and forth match. The conclusion came when Angle hit the Angle Slam. Angle was using the rope for leverage and Roode's arm was under the bottom rope (which the referee didn't see).
Stay tuned throughout the night for the latest from Bound For Glory.
